This pillow has a centre of 20% down / 80% feather, surrounded by a soft layer of white goose down. Most pillows of this type on the market have a centre filled with nothing but feathers, which we find flattens out too easily. Our testing has found that this blend of down and feather stays puffy, and re-fluffs easily. These pillows are washable but will take a little extra drying time. We strongly recommend using a good-quality washable pillow protector.
If you like the comfort of a pure down-filled pillow yet find them just a bit too squishy, the Chateau could be your perfect pillow. It has a bit more "substantial" feel than an all-down pillow. And, unlike typical feather-filled pillows, St Genève does not cut any corners on the production of this fantastic pillow. The construction is identical to all of the St Genève pure down pillows with the same down-proof, dust mite-proof German SoLoft cotton sateen shell, the same washability, and the same OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certification.
